The delegation was welcomed by the general management of Unitron, who accompanied the visitors during their onward journey.
On 1 July the party visited the region of Ghent where they were welcomed at the local government offices by the deputy governor of East Flanders.
The next day the party was met at the Town Hall of Terneuzen by the provincial governor Mrs. Karla Peijs and the mayor of Terneuzen Mr. Lonink. Afterwards, the party visited the company of Unitron in IJzendijke and admired the Ampelmann at Hydrauvision. (The Ampelmann is an operating platform with a stairs, which counterbalances the waves of the sea and which is used for the maintenance of offshore windmills.) At TechnoTron the delegation could examine the testing facilities for the operating systems of the windmills.
After lunch part of the Chinese delegation continued their journey and visited several companies situated at the Channel from Gent to Terneuzen and the Harbour of Ghent.
This visit could prove to be of great importance to the region and to Unitron in particular.




On 1 and 2 July 2009 a Chinese delegation of 14 persons visited Dutch Flanders and the region of Ghent. The delegation, which included renowned political representatives of the Chinese province of Hunan, came about at the request of a Chinese business customer of Unitron, a company that specialises in windmill technology.
