APAD
Together with the anaesthetists Lechner and Van Wijk from the Jeroen Bosch Hospital, we developed a new system for administering lumbar punctures (epidural anaesthesia), the APAD (Acoustic Puncture Assist Device). Measuring small pressure differences in the needle and converting these into a video and audio signal will inform the anaesthetist about the positioning of the needle inside the human body.Read more about it in the product information
Lechner and Van Wijk about Unitron
We had an idea that arose from the daily working situation and we were well aware that it had potential. But as anaesthetists we were not able to make it concrete and bring it to the market. Unitron was the perfect technical and commercial partner for us. They created what we had in mind as a ‘tool’ all the time. They also set up a complete strategic business concept.
