The experiences of Cinthia

“After obtaining my havo diploma, I decided to move to Tilburg. There, I started studying Technical Business Administration at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, followed by a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management at Tilburg University. After completing my Master’s, I started looking for a job.

Before applying to Unitron, I actually didn’t know much about the company. I happened to come across their website and saw that there was a job opening in the procurement department. After completing my Master’s, I applied and after two enjoyable interviews, there was a positive outcome from both sides.

At Unitron, training and developing employees are high on the priority list. If there is a lack of background or professional knowledge, solutions are sought internally or externally. I have personally attended various training courses and education programs, such as an ISO training, an auditor training, a Greenbelt in Lean, and a contract management program. These courses and training programs have not only contributed to my personal development but have also increased my professionalism in executing my work.

Due to the auditor training, I have had the opportunity to conduct audits both internally and externally with suppliers. These audits contribute to our quality system and are also very informative, as you gain knowledge from all departments. Additionally, I myself derive a lot of energy from contact with suppliers. Unitron gives me the freedom to visit suppliers when necessary and work towards establishing good relationships that we can expand in the future.

In addition to the freedom I receive to develop myself at Unitron, I also enjoy the working atmosphere. There is room to suggest improvements but also to learn from colleagues. Unitron is a progressive company, and together with managerial colleagues, we look for areas where improvements can be made. That is incredibly nice. There is good communication between departments, there are short lines of communication, and there is an informal atmosphere. Furthermore, we have an active staff association that contributes to the bond with my colleagues.”
